I really like where you are going with these portraits. I particularly like the cinematic sense of mood and narrative. It reminds me of Hooperâs work. You should think about submitting them to the Royal Academy summer exhibition. Entries are still open and the first round digital submissions is up to 11th Feb, entry is £40 each and you can submit up to 2.
Would you be interested in a commission of a portrait of Jo in this style.
As you probably remember Mitch did a painting of me years ago and it would be great to have one of Jo by you. If you are up for it, I would like to give it to her for her birthday (September 20th) so plenty of time. It would also be great if it was the same size, Mitch used a F15: 54 Ã 65 cm canvas which we have framed in black. See attached.
I could send you some recent photos and then I would leave the composition up to you. What do you think?
